Al Kiowa Pen from the L & K kennel owned by Allan Ertl and trained by Jenny Otega ran the perfect race by getting out of the box lst and running to a 5 1/2  length win in the 2010 $45,000 King & Queen Stakes run Sunday July the 4th at Dubuque Greyhound Park at Mystique.  Al Kiowa Pen has been in the money 13 out of 15 races this year at Dubuque with 7 Wins. 

Al Kiowa Pen broke from the 7 hole out in front of LS Rythm Angel from the Hardison & Rader Kennel who was the top qualifier for this stakes race with 60 points, however Ls Rythm  fell behind down the backstretch as  Al Kiowa Pen stretched his lead to 4 lenghts into the far turn.  Two greyhounds from the Calabro-Blanchard kennel made up ground in the backstretch.  Kb's Big Showoff and Jts Shez on Fire worked there way thru traffic  and finished strong to take 2nd and 3rd place.  Fourth Place went to Pat C Hallelujah from the Pat C Greyhound Kennel   So three of the top four finishers were males to give the males the braggin rights for this years King & Queen Stakes.
