    COULDN’T BE UNDEFEATED
    by Mark Pendgraft 9/26/09

The $60,000 Fall Futurity Semi-Finals are complete and we have our final eight greyhounds that will compete for the $60,000 Purse.

Only one greyhound will head into the finals as the greyhound to beat, COULDN’T BE He won all four qualifying rounds, by breaking quick and driving home.

It took 39 points to make the finals and here is your final eight in point order: COULDN’T BE can not be beat. Undefeated in all four rounds, COULDN’T BE will head into the finals as a heavy favorite. During the qualifying rounds, he won by breaking quickly and driving home. He did this out of the #1, #4, #6 and the #7 post positions.

COULDN’T BE is out of (Greys Royalcrow – Cuttin A Rug) owned by Michael Montoya, racing for the Mickim kennel and trained by Charles Canapp. COULDN’T BE started the Fall Futurity in grade A, he made the finals with the maximum 60 points.

Even though LUCK BE MINE collided in the first turn during the Semi-Finals, she made the finals easily because of her awesome performance in the first three rounds. LUCK BE MINE out of (Dodgem By Design – Gimme Dat Ding), owned by Michael Montoya, racing for the Bartley Corporation kennel and trained by Dale Wilson. LUCK BE MINE started the Fall Futurity in grade C, she made the finals with 49 points.

SUCCESS EXPRESS continued on his racing pattern, win, third, win and finish third. If he continues this pattern it will be a “successful” pattern. SUCCESS EXPRESS is out of (Fuzzys Cannon – Up N Coming Idol), owned by David Robinette, racing for the Plum Creek Kennel and trained by Ray Brownlee. SUCCESS EXPRESS started the Fall Futurity in grade B, he made the finals with 46 points.

PG TIGER has been racing like a tiger. He missed winning the first and second rounds by a nose each round, won the Quarter-Finals by nine lengths and just missed in the Semi-Finals by a neck. PG TIGER is out of (Dodgem By Design – Twilite Alpha), owned by Gary Cossel, racing for the Bean & Stout Inc. kennel and trained by Joe Osbourne. PG TIGER started the Fall Futurity as a primary entry, he made the finals with 45 points.

By a neck KT BAILEY won her race in the Semi-Finals. That neck got her into the finals. KT BAILEY is out of (Dodgem By Design – B’s Katy Bee), owned by Travis and Kate Bartley, racing for the Bartley Corporation and trained by Dale Wison. KT BAILEY started the Fall Futurity as a primary entry, she made the finals with 40 points.

BOC’S BONASARA collided in the first turn and fell, however she is ok and will be ready to run in the finals. Even with her last place finish in the Semi-Finals, she had a very impressive first three rounds to get her into the finals. BOC’S BONASARA is out of (Pacific Mile* - Van’s Spicy Hot), owned by Brad Boeckenstedt and Shelly Rangel, racing for the Boeckenstedt kennel and trained by Dan Beaton. BOC’S BONASARA started the Fall Futurity as a primary entry, she made the finals with 39 points.

It took a win in the Semi-Finals, for NUTMEGS GROUND to make it into the finals. The Semi-Finals was, make it or break it for NUTMEGS GROUND. She broke on top and had the lead taken by BIODIESEL FUELED in the back stretch. However NUTMEGS GROUND would not give up and would retake the lead in the far turn, from there she would go on and win. Both greyhounds made the finals.

BIODIESEL FUELED out of (Kiowa Sweet Trey – Future Bride), owned by Mary Robinette, racing for the Plum Creek kennel and trained by Ray Brownlee. BIODIESEL FUELED started the Fall Futurity in grade A, he made the finals with 39 points.

NUTMEGS GROUND out of (Fuzzys Cannon – Makenas Gold), owned by Cheryl Canapp, racing for the Mickim kennel and trained by Charles Canapp. NUTMEGS GROUND started the Fall Futurity as a primary entry, she made the finals with 39 points.

Post Position draw will be held on Tuesday, September 29 @ 3:00pm (cst).
