    The 2007 Rural Rube Award winner, Flying Stanley, was named captain of the AGTOA’s All-America Team.
    Also named to the first team were:

    Afleet Alex
    Flyin Bridgeport
    Switzler Jammin
    Dreamy Blossom
    KJ’sYukon Gold
    Coldwater Torres
    Kiowa Willowwisp.

    The second team consists of:
    Kay V Tatoo Tony
    Brady Thomas
    HDM Juana
    Santa’s Playgirl
    Pat C Clement
    BH’s Rackem Up
    Bart’s Ace High.

    Flying Stanley won more money in 2007 than any Greyhound in history. Winning The Derby Lane Million, the Mardi Gras World Classic, the All-Star Kennel Preview at Derby Lane and the Derby Lane Fall Sprint earned Stanley $594,330.30 for the calendar year.

    Adding to his career purse earnings were a victory in the Great Kansas Shootout at Wichita, the Kansas Bred Juvenile at The Woodlands, where he set the track record, in 2006.

    This year he won the $10,000 Inaugural and the Matinee Idol Championship. Making the finals of the $85,000 Sprint Classic increased his career earnings to $656,642.17 through March 1.

    He is currently at Mardi Gras to try and repeat his victory in the World Classic.

    Flying Stanley (Kiowa Sweet Trey-Flying Rimes) is owned by Vince Berland and raced at Derby Lane for the McAllister Kennel. His record at Derby Lane for the year was 46/29-6-2-3. He also finished 7/4-1-1-1 at Mardi Gras and 6/2-1-0-0 at Palm Beach.

    Afleet Alex won the $140,000 Mardi Gras Challenge. He also ran fourth in the $50,000 First Coast Classic on the Jacksonville Circuit. Alex’ record for the year was 37/19-5-4-4 with wins at Wheeling Island, Orange Park and Mardi Gras. At one time he won seven straight.

    Afleet Alex (Gable Dodge-Darragh) is owned by S. Lester Raines and raced for the Lester Raines Kennel.

    Flyin Bridgeport, the 2007 Flashy Sir Award winner, won both the $100,000 Distance Classic and the $75,000 666-yd. Challenge at Derby Lane. He also ran fourth in the St. Petersburg Derby, second in the Derby Lane Million Consolation and was a finalist in the T.L. Weaver Memorial at Derby Lane.

    Bridgeport (Kiowa Sweet Trey-Flying Harriet) is owned by Vince Berland and raced at Derby Lane by the McAllister Kennel. He was 63/26-12-12-3 at Derby Lane.

    Switzler Jammin won four stake and feature races at Palm Beach. He won the $25,000 He’s My Man Classic and the $25,000 St. Patrick’s Day Invitational. He also won the Father’s Day All-Star Classic and the $5,000 Poker Run Stake. The Palm Beach win leader also ran second in the $120,000 Palm Beach Grand Classic.

    His record for 2007 was 42/22-6-4-3.

    Switzler Jammin (Galena-Switzler Roxcee) is owned by Norman Rader and raced for Rader Racing, Ltd.

    Dreamy Blossom won the $120,000 Palm Beach Grand Classic running the fastest time ever for a female on the 545-yd. Palm Course. Her 29.18 was also the sixth fastest time in Palm Beach history.

    His record for the year was 19/13-3-2-1 at Derby Lane and Palm Beach.

    Dreamy Blossom (Maryville Rumble-Valoris) is owned by Christopher D’Arcy and raced for the D’Arcy and Mountain Kennels.

    KJ’s Yukon Gold earned $285,9334 in 2007. Most of that came in winning the $450,000 Iowa Breeders Classic. He also was runner-up in wins at Bluffs Run with 28, 63/28-9-4-5.

    KJ’s Yukon Gold (Trojan Cruze-Lady Schia) is owned by James Wilshusen and races for the Mickim Kennel.

    Coldwater Torres set a new win record at Phoenix with 45 wins (53/45-4-2-0), which was third in North America. He won 28 races in 2006, making him the winningest Greyhound in North America for 2006-2007 with 73 wins. He also won the Sprint Championship and two Night of Stars Features at Phoenix.

    Coldwater Torres (WW Time Warp-Hey Bell Dancer) is owned by Oscar Henderson and Georgia Medis and raced for the Gray Kennel.

    Kiowa Willowwisp won 45 races in 2007 (51/45-4-0-0), which was second most in North America. Racing at Flagler and Mardi Gras she had the highest win percentage (88.2 percent) and highest quiniela percentage (96 percent) than any Greyhound in the nation. She also had win streaks of 17 and 13 straight.

    Kiowa Willowwisp (Craigie Whistler-Kiowa Tom Long) is owned by Pauline O’Donnell and Bryan Dalton and raced for the Steubenville Kennel.

    Honorable mention

    Kay V Tattoo Tony (Flying Penske-Mohican Val), who headed the second team, is owned by Smith Greyhounds and raced at Orange Park by Rae Racing Kennel. His record for the year was 65/32-14-11-3, only five times out of the money. He ran third in the $30,000 Clay County Classic and third in the $50,000 First Coast Classic. Tattoo Tony was a 2006 All-American.

    Brady Thomas (Stan’s Boy Flyer-Touche Baby) won the Night of Stars XX feature at Derby Lane. He also ran third in the Fall Sprint, third in the Inaugural and qualified for the Sprint Classic, Matinee Idol Feature and the T.L. Weaver Memorial finishing the year with a 60/35-10-4-3 record. Brady, who recently joined the 70-race win club, is owned by Randy Floyd and raced for the Floyd & Porter Kennel.

    HDM Juana (Stan’s Boy Flyer-DHM Julie) won Southland’s two stake races, the $50,000 Sprint Derby and the $20,000 Baldwin Juvenile. His record at Southland was 66/37-6-8-7. Juana is owned by Sammie Lee Jay and was raced by the G & M Kennel.

    Ohboompowsuprise (Snow Bow-CTW For Me Alone) won the Sprint, All-Star Challenge and the Night of Stars XX feature at Dairyland Greyhound Park. He also was the track’s win leader with 33 (55/33-10-2-4) and set a record for most consecutive wins with 12. She is owned by Andrew J. Owen and was raced by the Sunrunner Kennel.

    Santa’s Paygirl (Teamster-Miss Setter) won the $30,000 James J. Patton Marathon and ran second in the $50,000 Orange Park Derby at Orange Park. She also won seven straight races. Her record was 56/24-7-9-4. She is owned by Sharon Williams and was raced by the D.Q. Williams Kennel.

    Pat C Clement (Flying Penske-Pat C Clementine) was the Raynham Park win leader with 40 (57/40-9-5-0), he finished in the money 94 percent of the time. Clement won the Raynham Night of Stars Feature in the spring and placed second in the fall. He is owned by Patrick Collins and John Henry and was raced by the Patrick Collins Kennel.

    BH’s Rackem Up (Oshkosh Hightech-BH’s Sho Timer) won the Kansas Bred Juvenile at The Woodlands. He was also a finalist in the Great American Greyhound Futurity, the Kansas Bred Sprint and The Kansas Cup. The Woodlands’ win leader (67/35-12-5-7) is owned by Billy R. Haggard and was raced by the Heartland Kennel.

    Barts Ace High (Oswald Cobblepot-Barts Oak) won the $60,000 Spring Futurity at Bluffs Run and was a finalist in the $60,000 Horseshoe Challenge. His record at Bluffs Run was 57/17-23-9-2. Ace High is owned by Rick Bartley and was raced by the Bartley Corporation.
